Begin with the Machame Route, known as the "Whiskey Route" for its steeper challenge and spectacular scenery. Over 6 days, climb through five distinct ecological zones, from rainforest to alpine desert to glaciers. Stand atop Uhuru Peak at dawn, watching the sun rise over the African continent.
Descend to comfort and celebration with 4 days in the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti. After the physical challenge of the mountain, relax in luxury lodges while experiencing incredible wildlife. This is the ultimate combination for adventure seekers who want it all.

Your Journey
10 DaysArrival & Kilimanjaro Preparation
Arrive Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to your hotel in Moshi. Afternoon gear check and climb briefing with your lead guide. Welcome dinner.
Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Drive to Machame Gate (1,800m) to begin your climb. Trek through montane rainforest rich with birdlife to Machame Camp (3,000m).
Machame to Shira Camp
Climb through moorland with giant heathers and lobelias to Shira Plateau (3,840m). First views of Kibo Peak.
Shira to Barranco Camp
Trek to Lava Tower (4,600m) for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp (3,950m). "Climb high, sleep low" technique.
Barranco to Karanga Camp
Climb the famous Barranco Wall - a highlight of the route. Continue to Karanga Camp (4,200m) with stunning views.
Karanga to Barafu Base Camp
Short trek to Barafu Camp (4,640m), your summit base. Rest, final briefing, and early dinner before midnight summit attempt.
Summit Day & Descent
Midnight start for Uhuru Peak (5,895m). Watch sunrise from the Roof of Africa. Descend to Mweka Camp (3,100m). Celebration with crew.
Descend to Safari - Ngorongoro
Morning descent to Mweka Gate. Receive summit certificates. Transfer to Ngorongoro for your luxury safari recovery. Spa treatment on arrival.
Ngorongoro Crater & Serengeti
Morning crater game drive then drive to Serengeti. Rest of day safari in the Serengeti plains.
Serengeti to Departure
Morning safari then fly to Kilimanjaro Airport for departure. Optional Zanzibar extension available.
