Please read these terms carefully before booking your safari with Bay Leaf Africa Safari. These terms govern your booking and travel arrangements.

Important Notice
By making a booking with Bay Leaf Africa Safari, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Bay Leaf Africa Safari Ltd.
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking. Safari activities involve inherent risks, and insurance provides essential protection.
1. Booking & Confirmation
- All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Bay Leaf Africa Safari.
- A deposit of 30% is required to secure your booking, with the balance due 60 days before departure.
- Bookings made within 60 days of departure require full payment at the time of booking.
- Your booking is confirmed only upon receipt of payment and written confirmation from us.
- We recommend booking at least 3-6 months in advance, especially for peak season safaris.
2. Payment Terms
- Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other approved methods.
- All prices are quoted in US Dollars unless otherwise specified.
- Credit card payments may incur a processing fee of up to 3.5%.
- Prices are subject to change due to currency fluctuations or government-imposed fees.
- Full payment must be received before departure; unpaid balances may result in cancellation.
3. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations 90+ days before departure: Full refund minus $250 administrative fee.
- Cancellations 60-89 days before departure: 50% of total cost forfeited.
- Cancellations 30-59 days before departure: 75% of total cost forfeited.
- Cancellations less than 30 days before departure: No refund.
- We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unforeseen cancellations.
4. Changes & Amendments
- Changes to bookings are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
- Amendments requested within 30 days of departure may not be possible.
- Name changes may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking.
- We will make every effort to accommodate reasonable changes where possible.
- Any price increases due to amendments will be charged to the client.
5. Travel Requirements
- Valid passport with at least 6 months validity and blank pages is required.
- Visa requirements vary by nationality; clients are responsible for obtaining appropriate visas.
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry into East African countries.
- We recommend consulting a travel health professional for vaccination advice.
- Travel insurance covering medical evacuation is mandatory for all safaris.
6. Liability & Responsibility
- Bay Leaf Africa Safari acts as an agent for hotels, lodges, and transport providers.
- We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or changes caused by third parties.
- Safari activities involve inherent risks; clients participate at their own risk.
- We reserve the right to modify itineraries due to weather, wildlife, or safety concerns.
- Clients must follow safety instructions from guides and lodge staff at all times.
7. Client Responsibilities
- Provide accurate personal information for bookings and travel arrangements.
- Arrive at designated meeting points on time for all activities.
- Respect local customs, wildlife, and the environment during your safari.
- Follow instructions from guides regarding wildlife viewing and safety.
- Maintain appropriate behavior and dress code at lodges and cultural sites.

Force Majeure
Bay Leaf Africa Safari shall not be liable for any failure to perform obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government actions, pandemics, strikes, or severe weather conditions.
In such events, we will work with you to reschedule your safari or provide alternative arrangements where possible. We recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation and interruption.
