Rwanda Primates and Lakes
Gorillas, chimps, and the shores of Kivu
Tour Overview
Rwanda may be small, but it offers extraordinary biodiversity and some of Africa most dramatic scenery. This safari combines mountain gorillas with chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe Forest and relaxation on Lake Kivu.
Nyungwe is one of the oldest rainforests in Africa, a primeval wilderness that predates the last ice age. It is home to 13 primate species including habituated chimpanzee groups.
Lake Kivu provides the perfect conclusion - crystal-clear waters, dramatic hills plunging to the shore, and a chance to decompress after your forest treks.
